Mr. Cristian Nastase is our official representative in Romania. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of intellectual property and corporate legal matters.
 

Cristian is admitted before the Romanian Intellectual Property Office, European Patent Office and EUIPO. Cristian is also authorized to represent clients before all court instances in Romania.
 
He advises and represents clients in IP issues in the field of energy and natural resources, medicine, biological, food technology, medical machinery and products as well as the FMCG industry. Cristian has in-depth knowledge in all areas of IP and advises clients on prosecution and enforcement matters in particular clearance searches, construing branding strategies, opposition and cancellation actions, anti-counterfeiting, unfair competition actions.

 

Prior to founding Diligens Intellectual Property SRL, Cristian was a partner in two reputable IP law firms in Romania. During that time Cristian has advised foreign and Romanian clients in a wide range of IP rights including licensing, franchising, assignments, co-existence agreements, negotiations and alternative dispute resolution matters.
 

Since 2004 Cristian is also a contributor to the INTA Madrid Practioner’s Guide and Country Guide. He is also an active member at INTA where he has participated over the years in various committees such as the Legislation and Regulation Committee, Community Trademark and Design Office Practices Committee and Internet committees. Since 2006 Cristian is the chair of the Law Commission at the Romanian Patent Chamber.
 
Cristian speaks Romanian, English and Spanish languages.
